Biogen: Leqembi Carries The Load, But The Pipeline Just Took Another Hit
Biogen's Q1 earnings report read like a victory lap. Then the Parkinson's drug failed. Then the guidance got cut. The stock has treated each blow as manageable - and in isolation, each one arguably is. Together, they tell a different story: Biogen is increasingly a one-drug company trading at a multiple that still expects more.
I'm sitting at Hold. The Leqembi growth engine is real, the free cash flow is solid, and the forward multiple looks cheap. But cheap on a shrinking pipeline is only cheap until the one thing holding it together stumbles.
