MannKind now has a label for children and adolescents aged 6 and older, and the company is positioning Afrezza as the first and only inhaled mealtime insulin for pediatric use. In the U.S., more than 350,000 children and adolescents are living with diabetes. That is a real catalyst, but it is not proof that Afrezza can materially change MannKind's growth trajectory.
