Salesforce's $63B AI Bet: Agentforce Is Accelerating, but the Platform Pivot Is the Real Debate
Headless 360 turns Salesforce into an agent-accessible platform
This was less a product update than a business-model announcement. At TrailblazerDX, Salesforce unveiled Headless 360 and Agentforce Vibes 2.0, positioning "everything on Salesforce" as an API, MCP tool, or CLI command that agents can consume directly. That shifts the debate from smarter CRM features to a broader platform strategy. If agents can access data, workflows, and business logic without a browser, Salesforce is competing not just as a CRM vendor but as infrastructure for customer workflows.
Management is framing that shift as strategic, not tactical. At the Bank of America conference, the company said it has focus on long-term strategy, not short-term quarterly results. It also said the Headless 360 strategy is not yet factored into near-term revenue guidance, while still targeting a profitable growth path to $63 billion by fiscal 2030. With the stock at $200.84, roughly 4.18% lower, investors are still deciding whether Salesforce is adding AI features or reshaping how the platform is consumed.
