Reed Hastings is off the board, but operating control still sits with the co-CEOs
Reed Hastings officially departed the Netflix board after the June 4 annual shareholders meeting, and Jay Hoag has been named chairman. The change matters symbolically because Hastings was the co-founder and former CEO who helped turn Netflix into a global streaming leader. Operationally, however, the change is limited: Netflix is still run by co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters.
